PwC Jersey Young Musician of the Year 2009 Georgina Sutton studied at the Royal College of Music in London under the tutelage of Ruth Nye and Gordon-Fergus Thompson, graduating with a BMus First Class Honours. Georgina was one of the few to be offered a teaching contract with the RCM and subsequently taught postgraduate students at Imperial College, London. She has recently performed for HRH The Princess Royal and was also a support artist for Katherine Jenkins.

Georgina taught at the Little London Music School in Kensington, Notting Hill and Knightsbridge. Whilst working for MIO Services (Music in Offices), the UK’s leading provider of music-in-business programmes, Georgina taught clients from companies such as Schroders, UBS, Linklaters, Macquarie and Deloitte. Georgina is currently teaching at the Jersey Academy of Music and St. Michael's Preparatory School with her students gaining high distinctions for their ABRSM exams. Seasonally, Georgina performs onboard a luxury yacht, Alfie Buoy, where she performs her own covers with a classical modern twist as well as travelling around Europe playing at weddings; recently in Italy and the UK for an England cricketer wedding.

In November 2017, Georgina will be performing Schubert's Trout Quintet with the London Strauss Ensemble at St Peter’s by the Waterfront, Suffolk. Her previous performances include a varied repertoire featuring Mozart’s Concerto in D minor with the West Forest Sinfonia at Reading Great Hall under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor, Phillip Ellis; Chopin’s Piano Concerto no.2 with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra at Fort Regent, Gloucester Hall; and Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major K414 with The Chethams Orchestra at Chateau Vermont in Jersey. Georgina’s most notable solo performances include Liszt’s ‘Au bord d’une source’ and Ligeti’s ‘Arc-en-ciel’, both of which were broadcast live online from the RCM Watercolour and Russian Piano Festivals.

Georgina has performed to audiences at many impressive venues, including the Sanctuary of Poseidon Amphitheatre and Open Air Syggros in Poros, Greece; RCM Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London; Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room; Sheldonian Theatre Oxford; and in Jersey at the Gloucester Hall Fort Regent, Chateau Vermont and the Jersey Opera House.

Collaboratively, Georgina has performed in many masterclasses around the world with artists such as Igor Petrin, Ian Jones, Ruth Harte, Diana Ketler, Niel Immelman, Leonid Margarius, Staffan Scheja and Michele Rossetti.

Georgina formed the Asteria piano duo in 2011 with international artist Emmanuelle Fleurot. They were chosen to receive private coaching from former Leeds International Piano Competition winner, Sofya Gulyak and the Head of Keyboard at the Royal College, Vanessa Latarche; and have had masterclasses from The Sitkovetsky Trio in London. Asteria are currently performing regularly at venues around the UK and the Channel Islands.

Georgina was one of five musicians to be shortlisted for the 2016 Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Enterprise (DBACE), in the music category open to over 50,000 applicants throughout the UK. Consequently, Georgina has subsequently delivered workshops with her business model ‘AthElite Musician’, a prevention of injury concept for professional musicians. She has recently been working closely with musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music to educate the future generation.
