Georgina Sutton

Georgina is managed by Sternberg Clarke, Scarlett Entertainment, Black Canvas and FixTheMusic Agencies in the UK where she performs unique covers of contemporary repertoire with her own pianistic flair. She is renowned for synergising her passions for both classical and modern music and creates her own pianistic covers of popular music with a twist from the likes of Elton John and Pharrell Williams to Stevie Wonder, Clean Bandit and Billy Joel. Georgina has recently performed for HRH The Princess Royal and been a support artist for Opera singer, Katherine Jenkins, alongside representing Pragnell Jewelers at their annual client event in Aynhoe Park Banbury and Stanford Hall in Leicestershire. Seasonally, she performs onboard a luxury charter yacht ‘Alfie Buoy’ for intimate charters and enjoys traveling performing at Weddings around Europe.

Her previous performances include a varied repertoire featuring Mozart’s Concerto in D minor with the West Forest Sinfonia at Reading Great Hall under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor, Phillip Ellis; Chopin’s Piano Concerto no.2 with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra at Fort Regent, Gloucester Hall; Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major K414 with The Chetham’s Orchestra at Chateau Vermont in Jersey and Schubert’s Trout Quintet with the London Strauss Ensemble at St Peter’s by the Waterfront in Suffolk. Georgina’s most notable solo performances include Liszt’s ‘Au board d’une source’ and Ligeti’s ‘Arc-en-ciel’, both of which were broadcast live online from the RCM Watercolour and Russian Piano Festivals.

Georgina has had a wide range of teaching experience over the last 10 years, including working with MIO Services (Music in Offices) teaching clients from offices such as Deloitte, Linklaters and Macquarie in London, alongside the Little London Music School in Kensington and Knightsbridge with her students gaining high distinctions for their examinations. Georgina has taught at the Jersey Academy of Music in Jersey and most recently acted as a lead piano professor in Suffolk for Pro Corda International piano week. Whilst tutoring, she conducted additional specialist TRX for pianists’ workshops educating pianists on their health and wellbeing by providing tailored exercises to help train the musician anatomy. Georgina combines Alexander Technique principles in her teaching style, offering TRX and her course of ‘Pianology’; a specially devised program for pianists focusing on the Pianists’ bodymap, technique, strengthening, meditation and visualization.

Georgina has performed to audiences at many impressive venues including the Sanctuary of Poseidon Amphitheatre and Open Air Syggros in Poros, Greece; RCM Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London, Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room, Sheldonian Theatre Oxford; Reading Great Hall, Leiston Abbey in Suffolk and in Jersey at the Gloucester Hall Fort Regent and the Jersey Opera House.

Georgina has a strong passion for helping fellow musicians and in 2016 set up her unique business model ‘AthElite Musician’; an injury prevention system for professional musicians. She was one of five musicians to be shortlisted for the 2017 Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Enterprise (DBACE), in the music category open to over 50,000 applicants throughout the UK. Subsequently, Georgina has delivered workshops with her business model and has been working closely with musicians from the Royal Nothern College of Music, the Royal College of Music and Pro Corda students to educate the future generation. Georgina believes that our bodies are part our instruments, and if one is aware of how to prepare the musician body for the arduous strains, it will just become integrated as a natural organic part of preparation enabling you to perform to your best potential.

Listen to Georgina talk on ‘Live at the Abbey’ podcast with Concert Pianist, Andrew Quartermain, discussing lifestyle and how TRX can aid musicians’ wellbeing. Her next episode will feature her first EP ‘Pastiche’ sponsored by the Jersey Arts Trust releasing in 2021.
